Do We Support Christ or The Antichrist?

Do We The People of The United States of America support Christ or the Antichrist?

We claim to be a Christian nation, with the phrase "One Nation Under God," and we give huge amounts of money to the state of Israel. If we are a Christian nation how can we support those who deny Christ and God per 1 John 2:22.

1 John 2:18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.

1 John 2:22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son.
According to this scripture would the Jewish people who believe Christ was a false prophet or at a minimum not the
Messiah, should not be followed, else we are hypocrites and deny Christ and God too.  Such behavior is disingenuous, and reflects a weak heart, one without Christ's love.
  • Beliefs
    • Christians believe that Christ is the Messiah
      • and that anyone that denies Christ the Messiah is the antiChrist.
    • Jewish people believe Jesus is not the Messiah, see www.aish.com

So we have three options.

  1. Christians are correct and the Jewish people have their eyes closed by God.
  2. Jewish are correct and the Christians have their eyes closed by God
  3. God has closed all eyes.  He sent Christ to enable the Gentiles and encourage the Jewish.  But pride, jealousy, greed, and lust overcame the lot.  The Christians say the Jews deny Christ, which would make them the antichrist.  So if true our support of Israel is oddly hypocritical.
  4. Same as 3 but, the Jewish are correct, and Christians  cannot see the truth in the Bible.

The dilemma is are the Jewish the antichrist or do the Christians have a misunderstanding.  First I will say what I believe to be true does not change anything about Christ in our religion,  but acknowledges that there is another who returns.  One item the Jewish and Christians disagree on is Isaiah 53.  Christians say it is Christ, but Jewish disagree.

Lack of full prophetic fulfillment, among other items, cause the Jewish to rule out Christ as the Messiah, along with their interpretation of Isaiah 53.  Because of the virgin birth, Chist who died on the Cross could not be the root of David, is what they believe. Personally I feel God could have achieved that. There are certain things that I feel rules out Christ on Isaiah 53.  The biggest one is that given in Isaiah 53:10 "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, he shall prolong his days, and the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand."

The verse in the Hebrew uses this word: חָפֵ֤ץ cha·fetz : meaning to delight in.
So I strongly believe that my God would not delight in making a sinless son suffer.  Perhaps he he was willing to make the sacrifice but not delight in it.  This says something about God that I find unbelievable.

I feel it is a huge slap in the face to assume our God would delight in the punishment of a sinless son.  So I agree completely with the Jewish disagreement on the interpretation of Isaiah 53.  I have other items as well.  But I feel this is enough to disprove it.

A Brief Look at Our Relation to the Jewish

As those as in Judges 3, we may have been created to test or train the nation of Israel.  The Gentiles were granted a path to Heaven to make the Israelites jealous.
Romans 11:11 "Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious." 12 "But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their full inclusion bring!"Romans 11:13 "I am talking to you Gentiles.  Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry 14 in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them. 15 For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16 If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches

Regardless of the chosen status of the Israeli people.  We are still responsible for our own actions.  We cannot justify ourselves by anything other than Christ.  By supporting US/Israel in actions that are cursed by God in Deuteronomy 27 and clearly go against what Christ told us we are alienated from both ends.  So both the Israeli government is not acting in God's will.  Our leaders mislead us and we are like sheep walking to slaughter.  Knowing we are doomed with our eyes closed, they use our economy to wage their wars.  Make no mistake the people in charge are not God's chosen.  But Gentiles taking refuge with the Jews.  Their greed drives many secret networks, with the goal being to create division using fear.

God's Word's on Our Actions

Our nations leaders are cursed according to God's Law as stated in Deuteronomy 27-29,

Deuteronomy 27:15 “Cursed is anyone who makes an idol—a thing detestable to the Lord, the work of skilled hands—and sets it up in secret.”Deuteronomy 27:17 “Cursed is anyone who moves their neighbor’s boundary stone.”
Deuteronomy 27:18 “Cursed is anyone who leads the blind astray on the road.”
Deuteronomy 27:19 “Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow.”
Deuteronomy 27:24 “Cursed is anyone who kills their neighbor secretly.”
Deuteronomy 27:26 “Cursed is anyone who does not uphold the words of this law by carrying them out.”

    • We ate all at fault for: the use of Laser Guided Weapons,  Drones,  Assassinations, Covert Killing,  and Bulldozers in Gaza deny foreigners justice, kill in secret, all in an effort to move a property line.
    • Our leaders are additionally at fault for leading us astray, and accepting money by some in addition to the above.
    • We are idolaters of weapons and money.  Deuteronomy 27:15 applies to weapons due to the skill and secrecy.  In fact the entire intelligence operation that uses high tech surveillance is possibly an issue as we use the product to kill not for peace.
    • Further if we examine our actions against Christ's commands we see we again fall short.

    Christ's Word's on Our Actions

As Christians we believe the only way to heaven is through Christ.

John 14:6 "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Galatians 5:4 You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.

Christ Covenant was simple. Love your fellow man including your enemy unto death.
Mark 12:30 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’...”John 13:34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

Matthew 5:44 "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,...."
Luke 6:27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you

1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

So given how Christ states the above I see no we could justify our actions.  I feel strongly that there is evil afoot.  But I do not know for sure who.  Obama acts fishy and certainly odd that his religious supporting seem fluid at best.  I know that there is evil causing the terror.  I am of the "opinion" that it comes from Israels power (not sure if Netanyahu is the source or a conduit, willing or not) as many of those are trapped in a spiritual knot.  Regardless we spend an extraordinary amount on weapons.  Our culture idolatries money, weapons, at least 50 shades of gray wrt sexual behavior.

    Idolatry of Money

Matthew 6:24  “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Luke 16:13 No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
14 The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus. 15 He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight.

    The Big Picture

We as a nation(s) are corrupt, God is trying to get us to return to good ways. He is threatening us with global calamity.  But if we can turn it around we will get more time.  Don we have a chance at Peace only if we try.  And supporting terror, or with money, or at all someone who is doing evil in the world we become agents for evil.  Regardless of our fear,m God expects us to do the right thing!

    God's Gestures

God has provided a solution.  God has been trying to get us to listen since the beginning, taking the Israeli's into Egypt for a long time.  He is trying to break us down so that we can become interdependent.  But the Jewish people were stubborn as are we all.  So He gave a grand gesture to get their attention, giving His only Son to suffer and die so that we might see how much He Loves us, and that we listen.  But we did not listen and crucified him.  Now he allows us to come to the utter brink of self destruction just to show us we must follow his way.  It can be mathematically proven that God's Love is the only stable way to live every other system will self destruct.

The basic idea is that Love and Fear cannot coexist.  We can see that Fear creates division if it is not faced.  But Christ's single command was  to Love your fellow man as He loved us, and the fact that He died for us,  gives so simple a model that coud not be easier to follow.  But if you recall even the Apostles did not have the Love Christ was speaking of as they feared.  Fear cannot coexist with Love.  But we need to have faith and process our every action through a filter that we would die for that person.  Would we do half the petty things we do if we felt as though we were about to die for the the other person?

Love is to Give (as God defined in John 3:16), Trust, Understand, and Serve (as Christ shows in John 13:13-15 by washing their feet).

But often it is easier to understand something by knowing what it is not. Love is not:
    • Judging
    • Controlling
    • Fearful
    • Manipulative
    • Selfish
    • Evil
Love is really a characteristic of a being truly open minded, having little self interest, giving everything you got.  When you give you receive.
