Implied in Listening is Looking as we learn far more with our eyes, we also say volumes by speaking with our eyes. The Eyes are the windows to the soul. If you do not make eye contact during a conversation you are mostly not there. This Looking and Listening is very important because it represents our focus being outward not inward. Honesty, Love, Humility are outward traits.
The open mind means one has true humility. Let us first determine what a closed mind is so that we understand better what an open mind is. To be closed minded is to assume that the idea in your head is the truth, regardless of others opinions or facts. So the opposite of this is to listen to others and reconsider an idea. To fully listen before speaking requires that we comprehend the others point before passing judgement on the thought as better or worse.
