In the plot below are the deficit for each year since 1999.  The colors represent the different presidents and show a pattern of spending.

The pattern here is undeniable.  It appears that the government is on a spending spree.  Given the large number of classified or secret expenses a situation of taxation without representation exists as only a select few have access to that data.
